Honey Lemon (Part 1 of 2)
Neutral Diffused Light
Finally toying with light today! Still life paintings bore me to death. However, it’s funny that every day objects like lemons and jars school my butt and teach me new lessons every time I study them.I’m *finally* starting to realise the robust benefits of start paintings using neutral diffused light:
1) Neutral diffused light allows you to learn about local materials and colours in their most natural state, unadultered by harsh light or other atmospheric influences.
2) Finishing a painting in neutral diffused light allows flexibility to easily adjust lighting using layer masks. This also saves HOURS from needing to repaint the entire painting from square one.(This particular point is a game changer and has already saved me so much time).
