Behold: a logo for one of my dearest friends and baker extraordinaire behind the Little Cake Dispensary! Deedee is intelligent, hard-working, and pressing pause on her pharmacy career to run with her lifelong passion for baking. I’m proud to call her one of my best friends and can’t wait to see what paths her talent will lead her down.
I’m pleased that I managed to publish this in time for Deedee’s birthday, which happens to be today (May 31st)!:
Originally, we played with a “cuter” logo idea, which featured cupcakes spilling out of a vial (sketches are here). She ultimately wanted a clean, text-forward logo to stand out against a bold background. She also wanted to blend pharmacy elements with her cake business, but was unsure how to achieve this. The final result features a swirly cupcake nestled in a mortar…being dusted with sprinkles, of course!:
