For today\u2019s doodle, I worked on draft 2\u00a0of the 1-page comic I\u2019ll be rendering over the next week.
\nDone the rough thumbs and I can finally start final inking!<\/p>\n

I do wish I had more panels to show Chip disembarking from his dad’s shoulders (last two panels), but the purpose of this exercise is to mimic a sunday funnies comic restrained to one page. If I were to undertake something like this again, I would probably move the title to the side\/top of the page to make more panel room.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not particularly interested in creating short, slap-sticky comic strips. The purpose of this exercise is for me to practise creating panel layouts, gutters, lettering and inking.<\/p>\n

For interest\u2019s sake, daily doodle #7 was character design for the little boy in this very comic.
