Spent the afternoon planning arrangements for a painting I’ll be working on the next few weeks, which will feature endangered flora of BC: Sand Verbena, Golden Paintbrush, Haller’s Apple Moss, Cliff Paintbrush, and Bent Spike Rush.<\/p>\n

The final painting will be auctioned off on November 23rd at the Promise GALA, benefiting a new youth centre in our DTES called Urban Promise.
\nThe night will include live entertainment by the talented DJ Barron S, the soulful DJ Omar Khan, a silent auction, photobooth and photostation by Butter Studios, Sarah Draws A Crowd caricature, drinks and nibbles. Reporter\/anchor Lien Yeung from CBC News will be the evening’s MC. The Pacific Northwest is so lush and robust that we can easily overlook our vulerable flora.<\/p>\n
