{"id":10718,"date":"2016-05-16T22:23:59","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T05:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.najin.ca\/journal\/?p=10718"},"modified":"2019-01-29T01:04:35","modified_gmt":"2019-01-29T09:04:35","slug":"ideal-protein-westview-poster-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.najin.ca\/journal\/ideal-protein-westview-poster-design\/","title":{"rendered":"Ideal Protein Westview &#8211; Poster Design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Designed an advertisement for\u00a0the Ideal Protein weight management program\u00a0launching\u00a0at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pharmasavevancouver.com\/store-locations\/westview\/\">Pharmasave Westview<\/a>.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;ll be displayed as an 8.5 x 11 poster at the pharmacy and also published in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsnews.com\/\">Northshore News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Below is the original idea (designed and\u00a0proposed by the client).<\/strong><br \/>\nHer vision was an upbeat, motivational poster evoking feelings of freedom. Her target demographic is women with\u00a0ages ranging from\u00a030-60:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10721\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.najin.ca\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Original.jpg?resize=740%2C965\" alt=\"Original\" width=\"740\" height=\"965\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.najin.ca\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Original.jpg?w=800 800w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.najin.ca\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Original.jpg?resize=768%2C1001 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.najin.ca\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Original.jpg?resize=520%2C678 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/>She wasn&#8217;t committed to any particular\u00a0image or\u00a0colour scheme. This meant the design could go in unlimited directions, which gave me a some momentary &#8220;blank canvas&#8221; paralysis. I decided to\u00a0start from scratch and strip the entire design to the bare essentials.<\/p>\n<p>I reworded some phrases to minimize redundancy, confusion and clutter. She asked to include the Ideal Protein logo in the design and\u00a0also decided to remove one phone number so readers would be clear on contact details.<\/p>\n<p>After hearing her feedback, I had a stronger impression for her original vision.
