Yup. Well, I guess we are all sorta thinking about it? Are we getting old?~

That is true we need a balance in everything in life. I asked Willie too and he said it's good to be future orientated but also present to enjoy it and have fun! Just like ur work hard play hard idea. I think i just play hard and not work hard enough =0=;; time to start working,,

I love this guys art work and it totally made want to listen and pay attention more (maybe also cause it was short!), It was a very interesting and powerful way of interpreting the speech.

I am also going to post it on my blog! <3 Thanks for sharing.

Grace!

That's so cool you were thinking about this recently. Did you guys have any new realizations/ thoughts to add?

I think he was totally spot on when he said, "we're all born present hedonistic--and through upbringing and especially school, we're tailored to become future-oriented individuals".
As he mentioned, being future-oriented to the EXTREME can have its disadvantages (haha like coronary heart disease, or just becoming a completely impatient, always-on-the-move individual. Who can enjoy life that way?!)
I doubt being hedonistic to the EXTREME can be beneficial though (I liked his teen-pregnancy example...although sometimes hedonists know the consequences, they choose to ignore it anyway in order for instant gratification).

I think I'm a bit of column A and B....I think a balance would be the best though (a work hard, play hard kind of thing).
